Duplicate images are redundancy and they causes extra hard disk storage space. Somtimes while copying & pasting images with keboard(ctrl+v), unrequird copies of previously existing images are pasted. Finding and deleting them manually is tedious and requires absolute patient. Imagine all the searching, compare and delete.

Dup Detector in a Windows software developed by William L. Hunt that can detect and delete duplicate images intelligently. Dup Detector searchs a folder (including subfolders) for duplicate and near duplicate images.

But how does Dup Detector manage to find the duplicates? Here’s the recipe:

Dup Detector creates a data file by opening and reading image pixel data for each image in your collection. It then finds duplicates by % match and displays matching pairs from a log file.

Adding Blogger Sitemaps to Google Webmasters

[1] Sign-in to Google Webmaster Dashboard using your Google Account.

[2] Type your blog URL and click Add Site

[3] Once your site is added to Google Webmaster, you need to verify the site by adding a Meta Tag to your blog

[4] Copy the Meta Tag code given by Google Webmaster

[5] Now go to Blogger Dashboard – Layout – Edit HTML – then search(Ctrl+F) for the code given below in the header section:

[6] Then Paste the Meta Tag just after the above code and Save the Template

[7] Now click Verify in the Google Webmaster Tools. Your site will be verified if you followed the above steps clearly

[8] Next step is to add sitemaps of your blog. Select Sitemap from the left sidebar in the Webmaster tools

[9] You can add the following sitemaps of your blogger blog to the Google Webmaster: (Addonly the RED part of the URL given below)

http://www.YourBlog.com/atom.xml?redirect=false

http://www.YourBlog.com/feeds/posts/default?=rss

[10] Finished! Your Blog’s sitemap will be added to Google now!

One ringtone may capture the intro instrumentals; another may clip the chorus. Best yet, for a limited time, it’s beta version is also Free.

The app won’t charge a thing on Android throughout the beta period, but after that it’ll cost you $1.49 for 3 recipes, $2.49 for unlimited use for a month, or 7.49 for unlimited use for a year.

Windows explorer helps you do things more easily. But If you have something that Microsoft had not provided in Windows Explorer like your own favorite commands which are not just available from the toolbar, but also via hotkeys and via a context menu. This means that you can line up all your favorite applications right on Windows Explorer’s toolbar.

StExBar is a toolbar for Windows explorer that adds a number of handy commands and shortcuts to it. By default StExBar includes some common action like create new folder, copy file path, rename, open command prompt and a few others. You can also add custom executable files to it.

It comes with a ‘lightweight’ console which simply requires command you like to execute into the edit box on the right of the StExBar and hit enter. The command will be executed in the system console.

For example, creating a new folder will be just a one click away. It allows you renaming multiple files at once.

You can also perform the following activities with one click:

Rename many files or folders at once using regular expressions strings
Copy the full paths for files and folders
Copy the name of files and folders
Open a command window set to the current working directory
Show/hide system files with one click
Add your own custom buttons and commands
Use the text box on the right to filter items in a folder

Configure it according to your taste & Add more commands

You can also go into the Options dialog and change the order of the commands if you like. You can also hide the filter box or use it as a command prompt replacement. Customize it with your own taste.

You can actually use that text box on the right as a command prompt. Go into options and uncheck “Use filter instead of cmd replacement”. Now you can type commands into the box just like you would if you did Start and then Run.

So, StExBar is a must have utility for making day to day tasks very easy & comfortable.
