  2. Yes, Java with such a power that are bringing & supporting new technologies, lacked advertising somewhere but it doesn’t mean that its spread was limited anytime.

  5. What is the person watching this ad supposed to DO after watching it? Who is the audience for this?

I hope it’s not the general public, because I’m baffled as to how they would react to it (wait, what’s this “Java” thing? A new phone or something?). And if the target audience is developers, it also seems pretty misguided — shouldn’t they be trying to tout the benefits of *choosing* to develop with Java-based technologies, instead of implying that everyone already is?

Don’t get me wrong, that was super-slick with some cool effects. It just strikes me as a huge waste of marketing money.

    • I don’t think so, why? yes the general public simply think about the uses & whats new but not the abstraction behind the technology. Once they know, what is JAVA?? They will definitely try to digg it up to a certain level.

Of coarse, Developers need this ,, why ??
As new technologies are coming developers need to think beyond that & at the same time try to make same technology to better & finding new ones.
